Campus Safety

Campus safety is everyone's responsibility, but students have a lot of help available!

Thanks to Bacone College's relationship with local law enforcement, the Bacone Conference Center is the home of both the Bacone College Campus Police Department and the Bacone Substation of the Muskogee County Sheriff's Office.

Bacone College Campus Police Officers who are also Muskogee County Deputy Sheriffs serve the campus community by providing patrol and investigative services 24 hours a day.

All campus police officers and deputy sheriffs are fully certified as peace officers by the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training. They are fully vested with the legal authority to detain and arrest persons suspected of criminal violations, in addition to enforcing campus rules and regulations.

You may reach on-duty officers through the Bacone College Campus Police Department emergency number at (918) 781-7200. In addition to our campus response, emergency (911) police response is provided by the City of Muskogee Police Department.

You can learn more about our campus policing by reading our annual Clery Act disclosure statement.

You can also help our local law enforcement by promptly reporting suspected criminal activity and by locking or safekeeping your possessions. You can learn more about our campus safety programs through Student Life.
